A Sneak Peek at This Saturday's #StoryTime Book & Craft
Posted on 24 January 2018
We know how hard it can be to find a fun, family-friendly activity every weekend. We also know the struggle to shop with a toddler is REAL. So, we came up with a solution: Every Saturday, PRIM POP hosts #StoryTime, where our PRIM babes read a different story to littles, then help them assemble a complimentary craft. Meanwhile, their bigs are free to shop while we keep them entertained.
We've been turning to Towne Center Books in Downtown P-town for our books, and we're so excited to partner with them moving forward! We picked their brains for the best children's books, and here's a look at all the fun in store this weekend (and beyond!):
This Saturday, we're reading "ISLANDBORN" by Junot Diaz, a super-sweet story about a little girl who, for a school project, has to draw a picture of the place her family emigrated from when she was a baby. In case you can't make it, below is a look at the tasty treat (a craft you can eat!) we'll be making after. (P.S. You can also browse our NEW KicKee Pants arrivals, above, here.)
Craft: Ocean Scene
Materials needed: graham crackers, goldfish, frosting, blue food coloring, sprinkles, popsicle sticks
Step 1: Mix frosting (or cream cheese, if you prefer!) with a couple drops of blue food coloring.
Step 2: Let your little spread colored cream cheese onto a graham cracker with a popsicle stick. (Note: Little littles may need some help!) Be sure to leave a little uncovered graham cracker at the top.
Step 3: Have the littles put on as many goldfish as they'd like. Count them out with them for added fun and learning!
Step 4: Sprinkle on sprinkles!
Step 5: Enjoy!
Join us every Saturday for #StoryTime from 10am to 2pm! Here's a look at the stories and crafts coming your way in February:
